The Oak Value Fund’s investment adviser is
Oak Value Capital Management, Inc.
Under its investment advisory agreement with the Fund, Oak Value implements its “value”
strategy on behalf of the Oak Value Fund and its shareholders.
In addition to acting as Adviser to the Fund, Oak Value
also provides investment advice to corporations, trusts,
pension and profit sharing plans, other business and
institutional accounts and individuals. Overall
investment strategies are determined by Oak Value’s
Investment Committee.
Oak Value’s portfolio
managers implement these strategies for specific
portfolios based on the needs and requirements of each
account.
David R. Carr, Jr. and Larry D. Coats, Jr.,
as co-managers for the Oak Value Fund, are responsible
for the day-to-day management of the Fund’s portfolio
and serve on Oak Value's Investment Committee. The two of them have been researching companies and making investment decisions together since 1994, with David's tenure at Oak Value extending all the way back to its beginnings in 1986.
